Blue orbs in Capcom's Devil May Cry 5 increase the player's health pool, with full blue orbs immediately increasing vitality and blue orb fragments doing the same after four have been collected. Maintaining once's health in Devil May Cry 5 is crucial, especially at higher difficulties.

Picking up a few extra fragments can make the difference between a successful run or not, so knowing their locations can prove to be a boon in Devil May Cry 5. What's more is that collecting all 32 blue orb fragments and six store-bought full blue orbs will net one the Physical Perfection achievement.

Blue orb fragments are littered throughout the entirety of Devil May Cry 5. They're hidden behind walls and below steep drops, and they can require access to Secret Missions or may require repeating a mission already completed. Also, a few of them will require some challenging techniques or enemy manipulation.

Since collecting all 32 blue orbs in the game is no simple task, a guide providing details on each fragment should make the process much easier. Having video footage to help figure out the finer actions necessary for certain fragments is also important, so Fextralife's YouTube video showing orb locations and PowerPyx's video for completing Secret Missions in Devil May Cry 5 should help in that regard

Mission 1

Blue Orb Fragment 1: Under the rim of the shattered bridge, after a cutscene around halfway through the first mission.

Mission 2

Blue Orb Fragment 2: This orb can be tricky. After collecting the second Nidhogg Hatchling from the pus-dripping arm, turn and run into the next bedroom through the broken wall. A scythe-wielding enemy will follow you from the original room. Leap over its attack and it will break the floor, revealing the next fragment.

Blue Orb Fragment 3: Reward for completing the Secret Mission found after using the second Nidhogg Hatchling to open its barrier. Secret Missions can be missed, skipped, or failed, so complete them as able. After completing the Secret Mission, the fragment will be in the fountain in the same area.

Blue Orb Fragment 4: Pick up the third Nidhogg Hatchling and turn around to see a Devil Breaker. Leap up to the Devil Breaker and then leap up to another ledge. There's a hole in a brick wall leading to a small bedroom with the blue orb fragment within.

Mission 3

Blue Orb Fragment 5: Following the first use of the Grim Grip and a cutscene showing a Demon Spire, turn right and climb over the roof. The blue orb fragment is hidden in between to air conditioning/ventilation systems.

Blue Orb Fragment 6: This blue orb fragment is a reward for the Secret Mission found after destroying the third Blood Clot. Following the large room filled with long tendrils and passing through an open tunnel area, the player will come upon a staircase. Drop to the bottom of the staircase and move towards the tunnel entrance to find the red light marking the start of the Secret Mission.

Blue Orb Fragment 7: Starting from the same staircase as blue orb fragment 6, go up the stairs instead of down. Climb all the way up to find a grapple point, then grapple even higher to find the next blue orb fragment.

Mission 4

Blue Orb Fragment 8: On a street featuring a huge piece of grafitti with a skeleton, a fight will trigger along with the Devil Trigger tutorial. Save up three bars and activate using both bumpers to summon a Nightmare. After winning the fight, enter the building where the Nightmare broke the wall with the graffiti on it. The blue orb fragment is on the second level.

Blue Orb Fragment 9: To access the next fragment, a Nidhogg Hatchling needs to be found. From the broken graffiti building from blue orb fragment 8's step, go behind the house into a secret passage. Pick up the Nidhogg Hatchling and return to the main path, being watchful to the left. A barrier requiring the Nidhogg Hatchling can be found with the next blue orb fragment behind it.

Blue Orb Fragment 10: In the secret area where blue orb fragment 9 was found is another barrier. Another Nidhogg Hatchling can be found in the bridge area where several derailed freight trains and tendrils are. Return to the barrier and use the second Nidhogg Hatchling. Go up, but don't drop down. Another Secret Mission will present, which will reward another blue orb fragment.

Mission 5

Blue Orb Fragment 11: While running on the rooftops of the metal-sided and roofed warehouses, the player will come to a drop. There will be a stack of metal sheets to the right and a container down below filled with debris. Drop down and turn to the left and backwards toward a lighted area. The next blue orb fragment will be back near some barrels.

Blue Orb Fragment 12:  In the same area where the player dropped down for blue orb fragment 11, move towards the large container of debris and the wooden-boarded wall. Summon a nightmare to break the wall, then move forward and defeat the enemies. Afterward, climb the yellow staircase on the right. A Secret Mission will present itself at the top of the stairs and the blue orb fragment will be its rewards.

Mission 8

Blue Orb Fragment 13: After passing the first shop, go through a tunnel-like area with fleshy, stretched cords for its walls. The next blue orb fragment will be in front of the player, with a pit between them. Use the Gerbera Devil Breaker to dash to the fragment.

Blue Orb Fragment 14: The player will come upon their second upward-climbing lava wall. Start taking the lava up, but watch towards the right. Jump to the platforms along the right side and then use two grapples to get to the next area. The Secret Mission can be activated from the center of this area and will reward another blue orb fragment.

Blue Orb Fragment 15: After finishing the prior Secret Mission and moving forward, the player will come up to another stream of blood teleport. Before going in, go around to the back and kill the scorpion tail. A blue orb fragment will appear in front of the stream of blood.

Mission 9

Blue Orb Fragment 16: Before entering the catacombs area of the level, just after passing some ruins and pillars that slowly turn in a clockwise direction, there will be an archway blocked by large tendrils. If you stand in front of the tendrils and summon a Nightmare, the tendrils will die and a blue orb fragment will be accessible.

Blue Orb Fragment 17: After picking up blue orb fragment 16 from behind the tendrils, jump up onto the back wall and there will be a Secret Mission that will reward another blue orb fragment.

Blue Orb Fragment 18: After fighting a number of enemies in a hallway lit by candles, drop down, and clear the area of enemies. Standing near the center of the room, look leftwards for a wooden door. Use a Nightmare to break down the door, and defeat more enemies. Afterward, move outside the hallway with more candles and towards another large hole. Don't drop down, but rather jump up the platforms to find the next blue orb fragment.

Mission 10

Blue Orb Fragment 19:  From the second red-rimmed tunnel gate that can close, run to the end but don't drop down. Instead, turn to the left at the edge and find the next blue orb fragment.

Blue Orb Fragment 20: In a room with two red-rimmed timed gates and large objects on the ceiling with green balls inside of them, go through the right gate up through a skeleton-like tunnel. The Secret Mission is in the center of the room at the end of the tunnel, rewarding another blue orb fragment.

Mission 11

Blue Orb Fragment 21: After destroying a Blood Clot, resulting in a cutscene where building crumples a floor downwards, rather than progressing downwards jump up. Then jump up a floor once again to see the outline of a Secret Mission pattern. Complete the mission for a blue orb fragment.

Blue Orb Fragment 22: Continue forward from where the first Blood Clot was destroyed to also destroy the second and third Blood Clots. After the third is destroyed and the building crumples in a cutscene again, a blue orb fragment will be straight in front of the player.

Mission 12

Blue Orb Fragment 23: After destroying the second Blood Clot, a red-rimmed hole in the wall will open. Go through it, turn right, and immediately jump up into an open tunnel. The blue orb fragment will be here along with some red crystals.

Blue Orb Fragment 24: Fill the pools around the statue with blood and drop down into the area that opens in front of the statue. Keep going straight and then up the rocky stairs. At the top of the stairs, stop and turn around. Wall jump and dash to get to the area across the way and do the Secret Mission for the blue orb fragment.

Mission 14

Blue Orb Fragment 25: Right after the cutscene to start the mission, turn to the right and jump up the shadow pillars to the top of the layers.  There will be a blue orb fragment at the top of another hill of pillars a ways away and the player needs to either glide down with Griffon or precisely wall jump and dash to get it.

Blue Orb Fragment 26: Destroy the second Blood Clot and turn around to find the starting point of a Secret Mission. Complete it to earn the next blue orb fragment.

Mission 15

Blue Orb Fragment 27: At the first Divinity Statue, go behind it to see a cutscene. Use Gerbera to ride up the ramps, collecting red orbs. At the very top a blue orb fragment will be waiting.

Blue Orb Fragment 28: After collecting the previous blue orb fragment, drop down to the lower path and there will be a Secret Mission start point. Complete the Secret Mission for the next blue orb fragment.

Blue Orb Fragment 29: Past the second Divinity Statue, kill the group of enemies and then use the grappling hook spot that opens in the same room. Keep following this path upwards, defeating enemies and jump up stairs, until reaching the blue orb fragment.

Mission 16

Blue Orb Fragment 30: You'll know you're in the right spot after fighting two toad and drake demons, as it's an unmissible fight. A tunnel opening lit with blue light will open above, reachable only via a platform that will crumble. Take this path and drop down a hole. You'll fight more enemies, then go into another blue-lit tunnel entrance and drop down again. The blue orb fragment will be across a pit in front of you and will need a mixture of dashes, strikes, and glides to reach.

Blue Orb Fragment 31: This orb and the previous can't be acquired on the same path through the level. Instead of going through the blue-lit tunnel that started the previous hint, just drop down the regular hole in the room. After reaching and fighting a round of lizard enemies, get your bearings before dropping into the next hole. You want to slowly descend, looking for a crumbling platform with a large red orb nodule just behind it and two smaller ones on the ceiling behind that. There will another deep hole, but again go down slowly. Go back into the room that's a second platform down and there will be a Secret Mission to complete for the next Blue Orb Fragment.

Mission 18

Blue Orb Fragment 32: After defeating Shadow, there will be three cliff platforms to jump up. Defeat the enemies before they can escape and the final blue orb fragment will grow right in front of you. These enemies won't respawn if you restart a checkpoint, so you'll need to do the whole Mission all over again if you fail.

In addition to the 32 blue orb fragments in Devil May Cry 5, there are six full blue orbs that can be purchased from the store starting in Mission 2. These orbs get progressively more expensive, so buy them as soon as possible. They're required to complete the Physical Perfection achievement. After purchasing those blue orbs and completing all of the fragment collectibles, players should have on maxed out the health bar and earned themselves an achievement.

Devil May Cry 5 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
